HOW IT WORKS
The CCT program includes materials designed to help candidates pass the CCT exam. Upon enrollment, candidates will be shipped study guides (please allow 2 weeks for delivery) and have access to the online ACMA Education Hub study materials.
Candidates have one (1) year from the date of enrollment to take the exam. An additional 30-day grace period will be granted to candidates that contact ACMA within their enrollment period. If a candidate fails to contact ACMA to take their exam within one (1) year of registration, a new enrollment form and payment must be submitted.
When ready to sit for the exam, candidates must contact the ACMA Certification Departmentwith the name, desired exam date, and contact information of their proctor (name, job title, company name, email address, and telephone number) at least two (2) weeks before their desired exam date in order to ensure prompt delivery of all exam materials. Once this request has been received, ACMA will arrange for the candidate’s proctor to administer the exam.
CCT exams are administered in a convenient, online testing format that requires a computer with internet connection and access to ACMA’s Education Hub. All CCT exams consist of 100 multiple choice questions and are “closed-book.” Two (2) hours are allocated for the exam and the passing standard is a minimum score of 80 questions answered correctly, or 80%. While not required, we strongly recommend candidates familiarize themselves with ACMA’s Education Hub prior to sitting for the exam.
Candidates sitting for their CCT exam must be supervised by the previously identified proctor; substitute proctors will not be allowed. Proctors can be a CCT Instructor, the candidate’s supervisor, or someone in the human resources department of their company. Candidates must provide the name, job title, company name, email address, and telephone number of their proctor when requesting an examination date. ACMA will separately provide proctors with all the information they need prior to the exam.
Candidates will receive their pass/fail status and printable temporary certificate immediately upon completion. If the candidate passes the CCT exam, ACMA will mail the official letter and certificate within two (2) weeks.
If a candidate fails to achieve a test score of 80% or higher, the candidate may retake the exam within 12 months for a retake fee of $100. If a candidate does not retake the exam in that period, a new CCT enrollment fee must be submitted. Candidates may take the exam up to two times in one calendar year. There are no limitations on the total number of times a candidate may take the exam.
