Purchasing an enrollment in the certification program includes a test sitting and study guide materials but does not guarantee an individual will pass the certification exam. Pre requisite programs for Advanced Composites Certifications include the 30+ hours of hands on practice and experience in composite materials required for certification only and do not guarantee individual will pass the certification exam. All exams are computer based, proctored exams that use the available body of knowledge as the basis for the exams. Pre requisites that meet the work or educational hands on training experience requirements can be applied for Advanced Composites pre requisites.
HOW IT WORKS
The CCT program includes materials designed to help candidates pass the CCT exam. Upon enrollment, candidates will be shipped study guides (please allow 2 weeks for delivery) and have access to the online ACMA Education Hub study materials.
Candidates have one (1) year from the date of enrollment to take the exam. An additional 30-day grace period will be granted to candidates that contact ACMA within their enrollment period. If a candidate fails to contact ACMA to take their exam within one (1) year of registration, a new enrollment form and payment must be submitted. Study review and training can be done as part of a planned training set up by ACMA or as a self paced study prior to testing. All tests are online and proctored for certifications. Training for certifications or specific company needs and employee level is available upon request. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for estimates, requirements and scheduling.
When ready to sit for the exam, candidates must contact the ACMA Certification Department with the name, desired exam date, and contact information of their proctor (name, job title, company name, email address, and telephone number) at least two (2) weeks before their desired exam date in order to ensure prompt delivery of all exam materials. Once this request has been received, ACMA will arrange for the candidate’s proctor to administer the exam.
CCT exams are administered in a convenient, online testing format that requires a computer with internet connection and access to ACMA’s Education Hub. All CCT exams consist of 100 multiple choice questions and are “closed-book.” Two (2) hours are allocated for the exam and the passing standard is a minimum score of 80 questions answered correctly, or 80%. While not required, we strongly recommend candidates familiarize themselves with ACMA’s Education Hub prior to sitting for the exam. Exams are closed book, no books, notes or mobile devices are allowed to be used for testing.

If candidates have pre requisite experience and wish to only enroll in certification exam with no support materials this option is available. Cost is $200.00 for test enrollment. Enrollment can be done by submitting candidate information and proctor contact as specified below via email to email@example.com for review, processing and contact.
Candidates sitting for their CCT exam must be supervised by the previously identified proctor; substitute proctors will not be allowed. Proctors can be a CCT Instructor, the candidate’s supervisor, or someone in the training or human resources department of their company. Some companies also prefer to use technical school, university or community college test centers to administer certification. These may have additional charge which employers should review and work out prior to getting proctor information to ACMA. Candidates must provide the name, job title, company name, email address, and telephone number of their proctor when requesting an examination date. ACMA will separately provide proctors with all the information they need prior to the exam. Best practice would not have an instructor who just completed giving training immediately proctor certification testing. Impartial test proctors are required. Candidates will receive their pass/fail status and printable temporary certificate immediately upon completion. If the candidate passes the CCT exam, ACMA will mail the official letter and certificate within two (2) weeks. Appeals to testing results can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org within 2 weeks of completion or contact ACMA at 703-525-0511 with questions or appeal of testing results. 80% or higher is required to meet certification testing requirements. Successful completion of certifications by completing study, mastering material and earning 80% or higher on credential testing results in National Credential and earning 3.5 CEU's per earned CCT Credential.
If a candidate fails to achieve a test score of 80% or higher, the candidate may retake the exam within 12 months for a retake fee of $100. If a candidate does not retake the exam in that period, a new CCT enrollment fee must be submitted. Candidates may take the exam up to two times in one calendar year. There are no limitations on the total number of times a candidate may take the exam.
